My approach to violin instruction is holistic in that I aim to create students that sing, read and and write music in addition to being instrumentalists. My students perform regularly in order to share their talent with the community. They create recordings to share the music with the wider world.

I provide violin and viola lessons for beginners and experienced students of ages over 4 years old. I have over 20 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience. I have a master’s degree from UT Austin, where I was once the assistant director of the UT String Project.

I am well versed in classical, popular and folk music making. I love the sound of string instruments, and I love helping others make a joyful noise.

My students have gone on to study their instruments in college, and are frequently top chairs in their middle and high school orchestras.
